Ivonne Trejo Ventura

Biologist and speleobiologist

Biologist, technical diver and speleologist, passionate about the study of cave fauna, mainly flooded caves.

Ivonne Trejo Ventura graduated from the Biology degree at the Faculty of Sciences, U.N.A.M. She completed her degree in the National Collection of Crustaceans of the Institute of Biology at U.N.A.M., studying the taxonomy and function of the bristles of the filtering apparatus of some species of the genus Typhlatya from the Yucatan Peninsula, in collaboration with Dr. Fernando Alvarez Noguera. She also participated in the Alejandro Villalobos meeting in October 2018.

In December 2019 she participated in an exploration with the University Speleological Group (GEU) led by M. en C. María de los Ángeles Verde Ramírez and M. en C. Ramsés Alejandro Miranda Gamboa in the Sierra Gorda of Oaxaca.
