I have academic training and professional experience in ichthyology, inland fisheries and aquaculture. However, it now participates in the development of marine-coastal research; whether working on marine biodiversity, strandings on coral reefs, ecological restoration, seahorse monitoring, cenote information management, data visualization and even citizen science.
