X’Batún
General information
The X’Batún cenote is a natural attraction located in the municipality of San Antonio Mulix, in the state of Yucatán, Mexico. It is a geological formation that consists of a cavity flooded with fresh water, surrounded by vegetation and wildlife.
The cenote has a maximum depth of 40 meters and an average temperature of 25 degrees Celsius. It is ideal for activities such as diving, snorkeling and swimming. The cenote has basic services such as bathrooms, dressing rooms, parking, and equipment rental. Office hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., every day of the week. The entrance cost is 100 pesos per person.
To get to the cenote, you can take the Mérida-Umán highway and follow the signs to the town of San Antonio Mulix. From there you can walk or rent a bicycle to travel the 2 kilometers that separate it from the cenote. The X’Batún cenote is a magical place that offers a unique experience of contact with nature and Mayan culture.
